Harrison boasts a strong hand of chances at Warren

The Melissa Harrison stable treks from Forbes to Warren today, with three chances on the six-race twilight program.

Pattera (Zoe Hunt, $3.40) has opened as the favourite in the 1200m Benchmark 50 Handicap after drawing gate one.

The 5YO Zoustar gelding won a similar event at Forbes on October 11, leading all the way in the 1200m Benchmark 50 Handicap.

After racing well in stronger events at Dubbo and Bathurst, the Forbes visitor finds a nice race at Warren.

Stablemate Hasime (Izzy Neale) has seen strong support ($6 to $3.70) in the 1600m Class One/Maiden Plate.

The 5YO Denman mare has been racing well, finishing third in a 1600m Benchmark 50 Handicap at Forbes on October 11 before running another 3rd in the 1400m Class One Handicap at Bathurst on November 15.

Not disgraced, beaten 5.1 lengths in a stronger 1600m Benchmark 58 Handicap at Narromine on December 2, Hasime also gets into a nice race at Warren and has drawn well with gate two.

Rounding out the stable’s chance at Warren is Happy Gee Gee (Izzy Neale) in the 1200m Maiden Plate.

The 5YO Astern mare had her first start for the stable at Wellington last month, finishing five lengths off the winner in a 900m Maiden Handicap.

Doing her best work late on that occasion, Happy Gee Gee will be expected to improve when second-up for the stable over more ground.

Harrison and the team are then off to Orange on Monday, with Flameon drawn wide (gate 13) on the 1400m Maiden Plate and Invasive (gate 10) to contest the 1300m Benchmark 58 Handicap.
